snow day with dad

 

This morning was one of those mornings I dream about.
The whole family slept in, including Robert.
The trees were covered in a fresh layer of white and this house never felt cozier.
We put on our coats and boots over our pj's and headed out into the snow while banana nut bread baked in the oven.

We helped Minnie make her first snowman, which she loved to "pat, pat, pat."
She was entranced by the falling snow and refused to keep her gloves on because she wanted to pinch the snow and put it in her mouth.
When we had our fill we came in to an oven-warmed kitchen and had ourselves some banana nut bread while sitting on the kitchen floor, naturally.
Honestly, it was pure heaven having Robert here.
Minnie is my little bestie, but it just feels complete when the three of us are together.
I love our life.
