Her second babe is on its way here April 2, but could be here within two weeks if it's anything like her first.
She and her husband are waiting to find out the baby's sex until its born, so gifts were a little tricky.
Obviously there are going to be a few gender-specific gifts, because we're all hoping she's having a girl since her first was a boy.
I was inspired by these two showers (one & two) for the theme and I was able to find an atlas from 1987 at the thrift store for $3 to help with my decorations.
I turned an old frame with a cardboard background into a chalkboard with a little blue paint and some chalkboard paint and used this tutorial to get the text just right (scroll to the bottom of the post for the tutorial...it's changed my world).
Twenty striped paper straws from Target for $2 and 14 Mason jars from the thrift store for $0.25 each helped to complete the whole thing.
All in all, we had a grand old time.
And man, I'm so excited to meet that little one.
Hopefully if she has a boy and I have a girl she'll be kind enough to let me borrow all of the cute girl stuff she just got.
I love this shower, it's so cute!

So cute!! I could only wait to see on our third attempt, that's if baby number two is a boy...otherwise there is no way I could convince my hubby that we needed to wait!! New follower!
