Robert and his buddies have been playing in a rec basketball league the last few weeks and ended up winning the championship last Tuesday. They'd blown almost every team out of the water, however the team they came up against in the championship didn't have all their players when they initially played. It would be an understatement to say that this game was an easy win. They ended up winning by one point after trailing by 14 points with four minutes left in the game and 2 overtimes.
Jessie (Conor's wife) and I asked them to get together for a picture. They pretended like they didn't want to, but then ended up having us take a bunch of shots of them.
A proud moment.
To be honest, I'm going to miss going to their games on Tuesday nights. It brought me back to the days when I'd go with my dad to all of Julia's basketball games. I cannot wait until Minnie is playing sports. I love playing sports too, but I might like being a spectator even better. Jessie and I became quite the team supporters with Minnie and Liam in tow. Brad ended up calling us the "mother's lounge," which was spot on since one of us was generally either feeding or trying to calm down a baby. We had a good time in spite of it, didn't we Jessie?
