my love is coming home!

My Jigs is finally coming home on Friday!
She's been in South Korea for the last 18 months serving a mission for our church and I have missed her more than is imaginable.
Julia is one of those people that you can't help but crave to be around.
She is insanely witty, kind, talented...and she thinks my jokes are funny, which doesn't hurt.

We were best friends through high school, roommates in college for a year and when we were apart we'd call each other pretty much every day.
I really love my sisters.
Needless to say, I have missed having her in my daily life.

She will fly first to Guam to spend time with my parents, but we will be meeting her there in less than 10 days.
I couldn't imagine a better place for a reunion.
She will also be meeting Minnie for the first time in Guam. Craziness.
And guess what else?
She's living with me and Bob when she comes home to Utah in January.
Hope she's ready for sister overload.
I'm counting down the hours until I can Skype with her Friday.

  1. Guam? Umm...yeah. Extremely jealous. How exciting that she'll be living with you! Having missionaries come home is seriously the best. It's nearly impossible to explain, really. Enjoy having her home! So excited for you!

  2. Love her. Matt and I were just recalling that we recreated that old photo of the three of us. Whatever happened to that? I think in that photo that something about julia's eyes and cheeks looks like Bennett.

  7. Hi, I'm your newest follower from the Find & Follow Friday hop. SO glad I found your blog!

My sister is my best friend, too. This post just warmed my heart so much. I was 11 when my (only) sister was born, so we've always been so close. Now that she's 16, it feels a little rocky and lonely as she's in that "teenage isolation phase" but she still means the world to me and I can't wait for her to snap out of the teenage-ness and be my bestie again! ;) SUCH a sweet post! I think it'll be fun having your sister live with you!

  12. We used to live in Korea, and lived across from an LDS church ( in Paju!). We loved the missionaries, they were so nice. We loved Korea in general! Awesome she is on her way home to you, with lots of memories of her time and experience.
