mama minnie

This picture is blurry, but it is one of my favorites from these past few weeks.
I'd just finished nursing Lou Lou and Minnie picked up her doll and a blanket and quietly sat down next to me.
Together we patted our babies backs and rocked back and forth in silence.
Gosh, my heart about melted into a puddle on the floor.
Minnie isn't always the softest with Lou Lou, but gosh, I think she means to be.
It's just funny how she has this innate sense for mothering.
Even before Lou Lou came into the picture Minnie would wrap up her doll in a blanket and stand and bounce her with the perfect sway back and forth, sometimes even singing her a little song (like she's doing with her elephant in the picture below).
I love seeing her take everything in and seeing how she responds.
I am continually surprised at how perceptive she is.
