Minnie is two months old today. Look how much she's grown in just one month! The onesie she's wearing on the left is a total muscle tee on her now. I hadn't realized how much she'd changed until I looked at these pictures side-by-side. I'm loving how chubby she's getting!
I am obsessed with her new leg rolls...
And how about that double chin? Those cheeks just bounce all over the place when she's riding in her stroller.
Minnie has nearly doubled her weight...as far as I can tell from my measurements. We'll know her exact weight at her 2-month appointment next week, but I believe she's between 12.5 and 13 pounds. Here are a few more little facts about Minnie these days:
- She loves baths. She can be crying like a maniac and you put her in the tub and she calms right down.
- Her hands are usually in fists unless she's sleeping, and then they are delicately stretched out over her chest, cheeks or above her head.
- She would sleep with both hands above her head all the time if she wasn't swaddled (just like her dad...except we generally don't swaddle Robert).
- She has started smiling and it's been so fun (as you can see in the picture above).
- She's SO happy in the morning. She coos and gurgles at you when she first wakes up, even if she's hungry.
- She's almost sleeping through the night consistently...hallelujah! She'll generally sleep at least until 6 AM, if not later.
- She refuses to take a bottle and it's killing me. Even if she's hungry she'll take it for about 2 seconds, realize what it is and then start screeching her head off. Looks like I'll never be able to leave her for more than 2 1/2 hours at a time. Oh well.
- She is much more alert and focused and has really great control of her neck and head. People generally think she's older because of it, as well as the fact that her head seems bigger than an average 2-month-old's head. I guess we'll find out for sure at the doctor's office next week.
- On a side note...notice how her feet are in the exact same position in both her one month and two month picture. Strange!
Cuteness. It's so much more fun when they smile and react to you, huh? I wish she weren't growing up without me. So sad.
